Visiting Nurse Signature Care is a licensed home care agency affiliated
with Rochester's most complete and best known home care provider - Visiting
Nurse Service of Rochester and Monroe County, Inc. Typically, Medicare
and Medicaid pay for VNS services. Signature Care services seniors who
pay for home care with their own funds, or who want more care than Medicare
will cover.

Personal Response Service (PRS) - Help

In partnership with Lifeline, our PRS help call button is a good first
step to insure that you feel safe living at home. The unit is connected
24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week to an operator who knows everything needed
to summon help.
Many seniors find that as they age they like the added security of knowing
someone can reassure them right away if they should need it. Unlike a
regular phone, the PRS help call button connects you with a knowledgeable
operator. Also, you can activate the unit from anywhere in and around
the house if you should fall.
Companions
For seniors who have normal mobility and are independent in personal care,
companions can turn loneliness into hours of pleasant conversation and
activities. Companions do neighborly tasks like giving you safe transportation
to appointments and shopping, run errands, cooking and light housekeeping.
Nurses
Our community health nurses will visit you in your home and can provide
nursing visits and other services, such as educate families, set-up and
supervise the home care plan and explain care options. They also do blood
pressure checks and medication box set-ups A nurse is always available
24-hours-a-day, seven days a week. Registered or licensed practical nurses
are available to perform on-going, private duty services usually related
to a long-term chronic illness.
Home Health Aide - Help you can trust
Home Health Aides are individuals who are specially trained to assist
in health-related activities of daily living-such as medication reminders,
bathing, dressing meal preparation, light housekeeping and transportation
for shopping and appointments.
Respite Care
If you are a caregiver, using Signature Care services will give you a
well deserved break. You can pay attention to your own needs without worry.
