Your Help is Vital:
Touch a Life Today
Private donations allow us to continue to serve some of the area’s most
needy citizens by:
- Providing more than the basic care that is covered by healthcare insurers or the
government - Caring for those who cannot afford home care or rehabilitative services
- Offering a meal to a patient's child when the patient is too weak to shop or cook
- Ensuring that a Hospice patient can have a last visit with a child who lives far away
- Providing a respite for a weary caretaker of an Alzheimer’s patient
- Giving a coveted toy to a homebound child weakened by chemotherapy
Community support enables patients to access essential programs including Hospice, Meals On Wheels,
and our Telehealth Services Program.
- Telehealth: special electronic monitoring equipment allows for real-time assessment of conditions and doubles the number of people able to stay at home
- Sophisticated Medication Management Tools: prevent serious and fatal mistakes. Through the use of advanced technology VNS prevents medication accidents and keeps people safe in their homes
We aim to employ and retain caring, expert professionals and paraprofessionals who provide dependable, high-quality care to Rochester’s families. Philanthropy allows us to offer:
- Career opportunities for low-income workers, particularly women
- Scholarships to advance nursing careers
- Professional development programs like special training for hospice nurses
- Recognition programs for healthcare workers
